By fixing these problems, the Web3 Woman Hub believes that it simultaneously proffers a higher competing leverage for more women in the corporate sphere as well as build a more facilitating ecosystem for global innovation.

Technological & Financial Ecosystem Inclusion Limitations.

There is widespread acknowledgement that the world is undergoing a digital

revolution (through Web3) which is changing the way people, businesses, and countries operate and develop.

However, there is little consensus on concepts or on a framework to promote global women inclusion.

The global statistics on women inclusion indicates a staggering difference of male to female inclusion ratio, according to the IMF, only 65% of women have access to digital and financial services as against the 72% of men. Currently, only 8% of women know about Web3, only 16% of women are in Crypto & only 12.5% of developers are female.

While this might not seem like a huge challenge, the subtle effects of these limitations cumulate into a loss for the entire ecosystem.

According to the , growing evidence suggests that increasing digital financial inclusion, including women’s access to and use of financial services, is positively associated with economic growth, which in turn benefits society.

The ultimate intentions of all actions by the Web3 Woman Hub and its partners are to simultaneously ensure increased economic growth and utilization for the Web3 & general tech ecosystem while providing increased or better competitive advantage and living conditions for Women.

Education.

Web3 undoubtedly represents a new phase of global technological revolution,

However, in the current phase of drive for Web3 adoption, projects have overtime erroneously placed product and marketing over guided education and community.

This unintentional yet reoccurring misappropriation of priorities by projects has over time resulted in limited users ecosystem utilization.

Women Inclusion.

In the private sector, only 7% of CEOs leading the world's 500 major corporations are women.

Although there has been a 3% increase in this figure over the past five years,

Only 13% of Web3 founding teams include a woman (this is according to a new report by BCG X, the tech build and design unit of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and People of Crypto).

Among founders, the gap is worse at 7%.

The report also found male-founded Web3 startups raise almost four times more capital than those founded by women β€” a bigger disparity than other startups.

But why is the gap so wide? And is there anything that can be done?

Through our Hackathons, Accelerator Programs and other initiatives, female founders and innovators in the tech ecosystem bypass the bias and rigors of the traditional funding process.
